The media is paying so much attention to the Coronavirus it is as if they think it is going to bring down the president.

White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney at CPAC: The virus is absolutely real and the markets are panicked.
We know how to handle this, and it’s not Ebola, SARS or MERS. This will remain a top priority.

On Friday morning, Lara Trump spoke before White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, and said “CPAC is the place to be.”
She described the Friday schedule as a Trump family reunion and the speakers include Donald Trump, Jr., Ivanka Trump, Jared Kushner and Kimberly Guilfoyle.
Mulvaney said one reason

‘The media is paying so much attention to the Coronavirus it is that they think it is going to bring down the president.

“That is always their goal.” He said the media reports are “completely false” and the White House is not controlling the message on Coronavirus. He said “We want information to be relayed as soon as possible. . .
“The administration imposed travel restrictions and quarantines in late January in response to the outbreak. We took extraordinary steps four or five weeks ago. Why didn’t the public hear about it? What was going on four or five weeks ago? Impeachment.”
Last night the President tweeted ““Diagnosis positive: CNN
is infected with Trump Derangement Syndrome. I’m calling out CNN for irresponsibly politicizing what should be a unifying battle against a virus that doesn’t choose sides.”
In response to a question about the President’s schedule, Mulvaney jokingly said the rule is “The President is never late, never early, but always on time.”
